Old Lane Adventures organises and leads self-drive historic motoring tours for owners/drivers of cars that have a classic or historic appeal. Our trips are always to places where the roads allow us to enjoy the thrills of driving, without any of the expense or risk of racing or rallying
We aim to make your trip both memorable and exciting - a true adventure.
We select our routes for their sheer driving pleasure and our hotels for their comfort and quality, often staying for two or three nights at a time.
Prices are based on two people per car sharing a twin or double room. Each car receives a full supporting rally pack, including route book, rally plate and finishers' awards.

Over the weekend of 21st/22nd June 1930, PL3 and PL4, the two Talbot AO90's, achieved a spectacular result in the Le Mans 24-hour race, beating every other car except two Bentleys driven by power packs almost three times the size of the diminutive 90. PL3, crewed by Lewis and Eaton, was the outright winner on Index of Performance. Now, ninety years later, July 2020 sees all three of the famous 90's returning to the Sarthe circuit, with plans for PL2, PL3 and PL4 all to be taking part in Plateau 1, the pre-war grid.
The Dordogne. This magnificent river flows from its source at Puy de Sancy, the highest point of the Massif Central, to the Bay of Biscay near Bordeaux. Our adventure takes us from sea to source, from vineyards to volcanoes, along roads ideal for our cars. On our journey we may encounter hazards in the form of St Emilion vineyards, spectacular gorges and mountains where the views are not to be missed, and volcanoes, described as 'dormant' rather than 'extinct', even though the last volcanic activity was 11,000 years ago!
The last time we visited this part of the world was in 2015 on our 'Alps East to West' tour. We start this fantastic week with three days around Gröbming, the operational centre for the Ennstal Classic, with great roads and scenery to enjoy. Then through the spectacular Austrian mountains to Lienz followed by following the Dolomite roads through the South Tyrol.
